Okay, so I'm a bit bored. I should be starting college apps, I should be working on physics because I am in danger of doing worse in that than any class I have ever done before even though I have taken the same topic 3 times, and I should be doing a lot of other things.
But I'm a lazy person.
So instead of doing that, I'll try to give a small summary of my story, since I'm going to write/draw it for my senior project anyways (the senior project's drawing a manga ... good luck with that =_= ) And, as a side note, thank

for the sudden random inspiration because I am amazed at her variety of characters and her thoroughness
Start off with the basics. The name's Spirit Chronicles, and it follows the journey(s) of Hix, a young mercenary who takes on any random job that may come his way. Cliche? Perhaps.
Basically, in this world, there are beings called Spirits, which are basically over-large, rare animals (which no longer exist in the normal sense except for a few domestic species). Spirits exist in two ways: the first is in their natural form, which is extremely noticeable, but nearly invulnerable except to other Spirits and human weapons; the second is as an Ark, where, when a human is born, it is "possessed" by a Spirit. Basically a Spirit resides in its body for its lifetime; it has no impact on the person's personality, although the fact that the person is an Ark may be enough. The Spirit lives on after the person dies, with the person's memories, unless the person was killed (assassination, murder, war, whatever). The Spirit in the Ark gets a safe (generally) harbor, and the human is granted special Elements, power to control the Fragments that make up the world. Elements are basically the "magic" of the world (though Magic, in itself, is a different term in this story) and are used as such. If it's convenient, it's kind of like the powers of the youkai in Yuu Yuu Hakusho (a great anime, btw). The aforementioned Fragments are like the "atoms" that make up the world. Everything is constructed of it. The Spirits have limited control over that and thus they have Elements. Grok this thus far? (and that was the clearest I've explained the system of my story EVER...)
I suck at giving summaries, so I'll leave the main plot mostly untouched except to mention some basic facts. There are 4 main characters: Hix, Zephiris, Kit, and Hageshi. They are more or less heading for the capital of their country (which thus far remains unnamed ... simply because it doesn't have one yet), Faunaac (the capital, not the country ... or it could be both?). A king, Ambient, has taken up residence there after overthrowing the old rulers through some violent means or another, and he has established a sort of "army," called the Knights, which are led by the 4 generals: Balmung, Kai, Ratiel, and Cerberus. Something like that.
Note that all the terms (not the character names) are pretty vague, such as Knights... that may change when the plot-bunny-muse of creativeness decides to visit my head again.
*points to characters* Those are mostly drawn. In fact, the only one I've listed thus far that I haven't is Ambient (who is actually quite important ... I just can't draw moderately old guys yet). They're not on DA yet mostly because 1) most are at least somewhat messy (I really don't like cleaning my pencil drawings too much), and 2) I want them to be colored on the computer, and I will once I learn how to (which will probably sometime in the next 5 years...). If anyone wants to see them as they are now ... just ask? A few are on the web.
Actually, it may be better to put it this way... Do you think it's better that I put the old drawings up first, then remove them later? Or would you rather I just wait?
And whoever says boredom isn't productive has this journal entry to contend with >3
(This is also probably the most grammatically correct journal I've written in a long time. -_-; )
edit: I have discovered that title matters a lot in journal entries...? <_<
